The United Nations Volunteer Program 2025 is an international program that brings thousands of volunteers annually to assist in the work of the UN agencies, NGOs, and state partners.

It offers two main tracks:

1. UN Onsite Volunteer Program This is an opportunity that enables volunteers to be put directly into the field- volunteering in the UN missions and agencies in other countries. Onsite volunteers are sent to assist humanitarian aid, education, green or peacebuilding initiatives.

The onsite volunteers are given a monthly living allowance and other benefits. Online volunteers get no pay but an official UN Certificate.

3. Can students apply?
Yes, students are also able to apply in the Online Volunteer opportunities that are flexible and open to different levels of skills. Onsite Youth Volunteer positions can be applied by students aged between 18-26.
