Detailed Description
Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program was established in 2013 and it is currently among the best government funded scholarship programs in Europe. It gives the international students a chance to study in such prestigious institutions in Hungary as:
- Eotvos Lorand University (ELTE).
- University of Debrecen
- University of Pecs
- University of technology and Economics in Budapest.
- Corvinus University of Hungary.
- Szeged University and many more.
The coverage of the program is extensive, encompassing such areas as Engineering, Medicine, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Economics, Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
In 2025-2026, new reforms are in place, particularly on PhD programs, which have a tighter enrolment, scholarship renewal and dissertation requirements.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to get the Hungary Government Scholarship 2025, one will have to:
- Be a citizen of eligible partner countries.
- Have the required educational background:
- High school diploma for Bachelor
- Bachelor degree for Master
- Master degree for PhD
- Meet academic and English requirements of the chosen university.
- By 15 January 2025, upload all the necessary documents.
- Is not a citizen of Hungary (with some exceptions).
- Not receive two Hungarian state-funded scholarships at the same time.
- In certain countries (e.g., Pakistan, Nigeria, India), the nomination of the sending partners is obligatory.

- Final results announced in June–July 2025.
- The students chosen will have to come to Hungary by September 2025 and enroll before the end of the month.
