Eligibility Criteria:
- Academic Standing: Candidates must have Top grades in their Undergraduate and Graduate programs. The precise academic prerequisites may differ from program to program.
- Degree Requirements: Applicants will be enrolled, or will have graduated, from an undergraduate or Master’s level in subject 1 that qualifies them for the level of study they are applying for. For doctoral programmes, applicants should have a Master’s degree or equivalent.
- Research Focus: Research / PhD candidates are expected to have a well-defined research proposal. The proposal should describe the academic objectives and how the research will affect the student’s major.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must have good knowledge of German or English in accordance with the conducted program. For English language programs, TOEFL or IELTS scores are generally required. For German-language degrees, a knowledge of the language is required, as proven by the TestDaF or DSH okay.
- International Student Status: These DAAD Scholarships are available to applicants from any country. Specific geographic or academic scholarships. This will depend on the particular program, but in some scholarships, location or academic requirements may apply.
